And so it’s here where we begin our 14 month journey. What started nearly 4 years ago as “what if one day…” has turned into reality: a trip across, through and around the western United States.

We’ve put our careers on hold to explore, experience, but more importantly, grow closer as a family.

Our kids have been pulled from school in exchange for an immersive education on the road. They’ll keep journals and “guest write” about their adventuress on our blog. Along the way they’ll learn about the states we visit, their state parks, our National Parks and Monuments, and if we’re lucky, they’ll see the World’s Largest Ball of Twine. By the end of this trip they will literally be “Road Scholars.”
